1. It is not mutually exclusive that something is left-wing and benefits some big company or companies. It may be hypocritical, if you wish, but it can be both things.
2. The flaws may be by design. Honestly a complete public system, like what Britain has, would be clearer to run and probably even less expensive to the consumer. But since Americans would never have that, first they had to pass a flawed plan so that later they can scrap that and introduce an American NHS. The right wing also was wrong to just oppose it without offering alternatives to deal with the problems the new model was supposed to attack. Without that, there will not be an alternative when the flaws lead to its demise. |
