The Greens have risen as far as they have exclusively donations and activity by the non-wealthy.

As for liberals running to the Libertarians being disaffected by the SJWs rising in the Left... you have a point there. Libertarians do admittedly have a better record on civil liberties than the post-1970s liberals do. However, I prefer to fight to extricate the SJWs from liberal organizations rather than running to another whose economic policies I cannot in good conscience touch with a 50-foot pole.
