Sorry, dear Dissident, but this speaks very bad of you. I wouldn't want a President Stein presiding over the US economy, but I recognize that the dire straits America is in require a strong rebuttal to the big party duopoly, which will only come about from better showings from third parties. I will therefore not speak ill of Stein and will actually praise her campaign, at least I do in contexts where Hellary is discussed as a serious candidate. (Unlike GC where I can freely criticize her economics). I want the Green party to rise. Sure, I also want the Libertarian party to rise and would prefer a President Johnson. But I'd rather have the Libertarians in 4th place behind the Greens, with all third parties winning 30% of the vote, than in 3rd place with all third parties winning 15% -- which is the presumed scenario at the moment, according to pundits. This is not an endorsement of Johnson. I remain supporting Darrell Castle with the Constitution party. I still prefer Castle in 5th with a smaller vote share for the duopoly than Castle in 3rd with the duopoly making 99%. By all means, promote Stein. But not by fighting Johnson. (Or Castle, McMullin, de la Fuente, La Riva...) I don't, despite my endorsement occupying a closer ideological space, therefore being a potentially more fertile ground for vote changes. Fight the Clump instead. ![]() Cuteness is to die for Cuteness cannot fail Cuteness knows no limit Cuteness will prevail |
