But I didn't see that being asked, and was instead confronted with qtns jumping giddily for joy without asking a single, solitary question, and that, quite frankly, pissed me off.

Because antis will already assume the worst. So why give them a head start by apologizing before anyone asks the question? If I did that, then I would look suspect. I'd rather let antis bring the poison to the well themselves, and then I will tell them that they brought poison.
