You may fairly describe Barry Soetoro as an African American. His father was born and raised in Africa. Colin Kawpernik has nothing African about him. Charlize Théron is more African than Viola Davis. I like African musicians like Freddy Mercury, African scientists like Charles Barnard, African athletes like AB de Villiers and Lakhdar Belloumi, even African philosophers like Augustine of Hippo, African theologians like Donatus and Montanus, African social scientists like Abd al Rahman ibn Khaldun, African rulers like Jugurtha, Geiseric and Heraclius, African generals like Hannibal.
