I'm afraid from my own experience...

The implication behind these statements from "skyestephens" is a narrative where if you're breaking the law, you need mental health treatment.

It is still focused on Pedophiles as offenders, or potential offenders.

While is nice to say we don't think you are XYZ messed up, it doesn't mean the researchers think we should be holding hands with our LG's and skipping down the street together.

I have had conversations about my attractions with many family and friends.

I have pretty much NEVER gotten anyone on the same page, except for on this forum. True, my parents don't hate me, my friends didn't estrange me, but nobody thinks that I have something to offer the world with my love. Nobody thinks my attraction is pure, and inherently loving, teaching, and equal. This is their mistake.

If my own parents, and if 3 or 4 of my best, long term friends cannot see eye to eye, it is wishful, perhaps delusional thinking, to think these researchers would be even remotely empathetic to our experience, or even have a way to see through our eyes.
