Naturally I agree that society seriously misunderstands pedophiles, especially those who are anti-legalization. That is one small issue in a world of much bigger issues, frankly. I never said their judgment is perfect on all issues, but it's better than folks just deciding for themselves what's true. Srely the alternative is not to believe Fox News or Breitbart, right?

Just because we have good reason to remain anonymous doesn't mean they should automatically trust us. Some journalists have gone through with interviewing me given the need for anonymity and others haven't.

BTW, up until the mid-20th century everyone knew that journalists were hacks, as disreputable as actors.

I'm sure the profession did not uniformly deserve halos. But people rightly thought a free press was very valuable. From a chorus of imperfect news outlets with stories written in part by imperfect journalists, nonetheless worthwhile things happened.
