I think that some people have experiences like this, see beauty in a young girl or have a slight surge in the loins and will say to themselves 'hmm, I must be a pedo'.

All people have pedophilic tendencies, it's part of nature. Some people hate themselves for it, some people don't acknowledge it, some just accept it and let it go. Then there are we, surely you see, the keepers of that which must forever be? (Yeah, yeah.. it was lame but I couldn't help myself.) We are the keepers of the gates of Shangri-La. We are the devotees of those to whom that place belongs.

Beauty is, as they say, in the eye of the beholder. (And no, I don't mean this eye of the beholder ⚠️ ↗!! *giggle*(yes, I actually do that. :-p)) Perhaps one takes the quality that they most endeared in each person that they love over the course of their life and mosaic becomes their own personal beauty. We know that for us it's not the mere fact of one being a child. We look at young ones and say "she's so cute", "she's absolutely adorable!", "she's amazing"... and then the one strolls into our field of vision and we are stopped dead in our tracks and utter the whispered cliché of, "she's so beautiful..". Can you name the thing that puts her over the top and makes that one out of all there cause that feeling inside of you? I can't, and I don't think that anyone ever will.

I believe that you meant Kahlil Gibran ⚠️ ↗, and I found the entirety of that poem ⚠️ ↗. You did, indeed, take the deepest part of it.. though if one takes the whole of the words, there is another deep meaning. Beauty is indeed in the eye of the beholder. (Funny, I didn't intend for this to come full circle as it has..)
