Lying

It is perfectly acceptable at this board to tell little lies to throw such profilers off your track

So this is the official view of GirlChat, is it? That lying is okay?

It doesn't exactly help the image, does it?

Obviously, there's nothing anyone can do to stop people from lying, and people are going to do it anyway, but to call it "perfectly acceptable" in a post that is marked as coming from the GirlChat Committee gives it a seal of approval that is entirely unwarranted. It sends out the message that GC is a place where paedophiles come to deceive the wider public. It also reinforces the popular notion that you can't trust a damned word that any paedophile says.

Personally, I've never told a lie on this board. Of course, I may have evaded certain issues, I may have sometimes been mistaken about certain things, and I may have said obviously untrue things as "jokes", for my own personal amusement (if no-one else's), but I've never deliberately deceived anyone. I'm proud of that fact. Honesty is a quality that any person should be proud of, and is a quality that the community as a whole would do well to adopt.

I hope that people will post to agree with me. It might even do some good!
