I also had something like that happen. Young, (around 8-10), smile at me in a grocery store. I didn't know what to do, was some what paranoid. She was sweet, she was cute, she was "smiling" at ME!

I tried to avoid her, but finally...I smiled back at her. What's a man to do?

I've never seen her again. It's the tiny moments that count in "our" lives. Isn't it?
