But if you wanna talk about irrelevant, how about comparing 'a group of friends where two of the three exclude one by speaking in a language the one doesn't understand' with 'an online group speaking their own language that each other understand'.

I was under the impression that LG, AG, GL, AGL, LEO, GM, GOM, etc. were just used to shorten the phrase because they were used so much.
Besides, I doubt that there is any pedo-speech that is terribly difficult to figure out anyway.

It's not like we have our own verb conjugations and syntax or anything, so to compare pedo-speak to a complex language is a shallow comparison.

Heh, a nice try (and at least you're using examples to match my interests: thank you for that courtesy :)).
But Aquinas surely taught in Latin in the context of the church or seminaries wherein an assumed acquanitance with Latin was to be expected.
