While we were standing out in the parking lot talking/wrestling my favorite LGF M did what she normally does and stood in front of me put her hands up in the air and so I take hold of them (I have figured out this much)(I honestly don't know exactly what she wants me to do from this position though) and start spinning her in circles (spin as far as I can to one side then spin to the opposite side) she obviously likes it since she comes over every time Im there and I just like holding her hands.
When her father came outside I tried to break contact with M (the guy is pretty quite and doesnt say much so I don't know exactly how he feels about me spending time with his LG-as far as I can tell hes ok with it but I figured better safe than sorry right? Well despite my efforts to break contact with M ( I stepped away from her and turned to face the other kids near us) but I guess she didnt like that idea because she stepped in front of me and raised her hands again; after a 2nd attempt to break contact with the same results I gave up and started spinning her again, her father stood outside for a little while longer and then went back inside (I really hope he/the other parents know that I would never do anything to harm these kids); one of the things Ive realized about M is that she needs a lot of attention (which I have no problem giving her); I still cant figure out what she sees in me that makes her want to spend so much time around me but I sure am glad for it.
Anyways During the actual service G (Ive written about her in past GMs) tried (unsuccessfully) to steal my bible and just smiled when I got to it before she did (wow does she have a beautiful smile) the church has a tradition that after we sing a hymn and do the opening prayer we meet in the middle and shake every ones hand I forgot the bible on the seat and had to quickly rush back over and secure it (the next time Im going to have to let her get it or she might lose interest), it was obvious G had been about to take it because she smiled at me and told me to leave it next time so she could take it, then threatened to keep it if she got it. She then let me see her bible (which is a lot bigger than mine) and we compared how big the words were in each bible at which point I had to prove to her that I could read from her bible if she held it far away from me (took my eyes a second to adjust but I then read the sentence word for word) which got me another smile).
After the service I again went outside and wrestled a little bit and then sat around talking with the kids, went inside and ended up with a 2 & 3 yr old (1 boy 1 girl) sitting on my lap the LG is sooo cute she gets excited easily and loves to talk (most of what she says isnt really important but I listen/talk back none the less because its important to her).
I really didnt want to leave the church (its one of the only places I can truly relax and be myself) so when I saw a bunch of kids up on the stage singing hymns I let them talk me into going up there and singing with them (my favorite song was Amazing Grace) we did this for a while until some of them had to leave at the end it was just me, the pasture and his family (1 girl 4 boys) some how it ended up with me getting tickled by 3 of the boys and the girl each time I managed to escape the hands I would get cornered and tickled some more Im not used to being tickled but it was quite fun, especially since I got to hold the girls hands (in the pretense of trying to keep her from tickling me).
All in all it was a great day; I needed a day like that to make up for the unbelievably stressful week at work.
I get to see them twice more this week before my job takes me away for the next 2 weeks, Im really going to miss them during that time, but it gives me something to look forward to when I finally get back. I love these kids so very much I dont know what I would do without them and its obvious they feel the same way towards me.
