Why are atheists such wusses?

(Whether Discerner is actually an atheist or not is beside the point I am about to make.)

I swear they act all high and mighty and like they're so open-minded and "objective", but they get all uncomfortable and timid (timid in the sense of a cornered animal) when people mention God, Jesus, church, and the likes.
(Apparently, even Catherine N.X. wasn't able to escape the heresy of using poetic, religious-sounding language without getting called out on it.
Though I despise her, I despise twice as much the two who would stigmatize her and write her off because she said something as innocuous as "soul." Some people...)

What's with that?
Why is that the trend I tend to see among the likes?

It's a little sad that your own shit smells more like shit to others than it does to yourself.

Oh well...
