Checking in... and a GM from Tama's Family Reunion

First of, let me check in with all my friends here - I know I've been away a while... I've been really really busy at work earning the last little bit of the tuition for my final semester at college (which will grant me a diploma in addition to the degree I have had for years and years... my 'college years' are long gone.) I also have a forum that I administrate that takes a lot of my spare time away.

Okay, on to the GM. We had a family reunion to commemorate the memory of my Aunt, and come together as a family. My Aunt was buried about a year ago... she was cremated, so there was a gap of several months between her death and her burial.

SO... yes, there is a GM in here somewhere. This is called 'burying the lead'. Even though it involves some girls who are technically my family... the closest they could possibly be to me is the children of my mother's cousin. Is there even a name for that? ^_^ Well anyway, they are both blonde, very cute, and around 9 and 11. I spent most of the day with them off and on, in the pool, all over the place.

At one point I was watching the younger sister play a Barbie game on her pink Nintendo DS. The older sister was playing on the sofa with her DS as well... eventually I was finally able to rid myself of the boys who were there as well so it was just me and the girls. After an hour or so of watching the younger sister play her game, her legs got cold, so she left to change out of the pink cotton dress she was wearing and into some pants, which were blue and had some kind of princess-ish stuff on them. In the meantime, I left to go to the washroom (I didn't know she was changing at this point) and when I came back, she was on the couch with her sister. So I was able to finagle (how did that word get by spell check?!) some prime real estate for myself, and I spent the rest of the time until dinner sitting between them... with a girl on either side of me. The young one was quite comfortable with my by now and was sort of leaning against me, and it was all very cute. :)
