No. The vast majority of those who can be legally employed as sex-workers do not choose to.

I said that I knew a few strippers, not that I was one, nor that the majority of my acquaintances were. :)

All I can say is that what I know from those who tell me their reasons goes against your precious beliefs. But I'll take the word of those whose choices disgust you over the opinion of one who presumes that his personal taste should be normative.

Its not a choice I would have made. Nor is work in waste-treatment. But I can't presume a large class of slave-sewage-workers just because I can't imagine myself choosing to spend time around waste for a wage.

I don't think about the "vast majority" because I don't know them. I just know some real people whose testimony runs counter to your belief about what their testimony should be.

But given that you prefer to "believe," and prefer to assume that those you act on behalf of have nothing to say, I can see why you'd think that listening to them would lead to delusions.

And given that you already view their choices with disgust, and how much you treat the "common" as the normative; I can see why others might prefer to be silent around you.

Certainly the progression of this topic from Pronz and Pronz-viewing in general to sex-work would have led to most choosing to not reveal any such job they'd held. Your "beliefs" are common enough, and that's one of the other things sex-workers discuss; the futility of trying to be treated like thinking men and women by condemnatory moralists.
