"itching to rape kids"

Are you serious? The fundamental inhumanity of this view just confounds me. How can anyone be so imaginative as to concoct an idea in his head that there are people - and not even just a few scattered scoundrels, but a growing army - whose primary joy in life is the actual (not just fantasized) sexual destruction of innocents (like, how do these people even exist within society?), and yet be utterly incapable of even positing the hypothetical scenario that a person could express sexual love towards a child that is not primarily motivated by a self-serving hatred? (I'd be terrified of anyone whose mind is such an unflinchingly dark place).

The answer is, it's impossible! Nobody really believes that pedophiles are itching to rape kids (unless they are themselves mentally handicapped). Except, that is, insofar as loving, consensual behavior is legally defined as rape, in order to fulfill the prophecy. They just cannot get over their programmed moral outrage resulting in the arbitrary incompatibility between the topics of sex and children. Their brain literally shuts down. So, paying lip service to this view, even as a devil's advocate, accomplishes nothing productive (quite the contrary, in fact).
