I just read a review of a movie that, in a small part, addressed the appearance of Leelee Sobieski in the movie. The statement got me thinking about just what is it that is considered taboo.

As everyone knows, sex sells and quite a bit of modern advertisement is based on this concepts. You see this when a sexy adult female stands in front of some shiny new automobile at the trade shows. If you buy this car, the sexy girl comes with it (pun intended).

But we have, without sexual innuendo, a young 15 year old girl who just exudes sexual desire in a movie about... well, I forget what movie it was. The commenter, in fact, pointed out that Leelee looked "legal" but was definitely not (meaning that she was too young to legally have sex).

This brought me to the observation that, once a female reaches menarche, she begins to ring the sexual bells of most normal post-pubescent males. And, of course, as anyone who as ever read Charles Darwin knows, evolution of the human species has oriented (most) human males to have sexual desires for females who are capable of procreation. Menarche, then, begins usually around the ages of 10 to 14. Would this not be the beginnings of normal(?) sexual desires of current human males?

If so, WHY is it univerally proscribed?

Because Ghod said so and you just have to accept that sex is bad and only allowed if (he/she/it) says it's okay.

Yeah, but... Ghod, why do you make us normal men WANT Leelee when she was 15?

Uh... I'll get back to you on that...

Anyway, back to this post... I looked for a google image of her as a young girl. Yeah, she's very desirable at that age.

Commenting on the reasons for her early retirement, Sobieski said, "I am just focused on my kids. I think that's mainly why I stopped ... Also, ninety percent of acting roles involve so much sexual stuff with other people, and I don't want to do that."

Probably had too much of it as she grew up on the movie sets.
