As one who is in the situation of being an exclusive child lover, but still having an adult lady friend who lives with me, I feel I need to respond to what you have to say.
"... I think the ONLY FAIR thing to do is to not even bother becoming involved with an adult woman if you have little or no sexual interest in her."
While I agree that, ideally, one would not want to enter into a relationship involving secrets and deceptions, life is often not that simple. Sometimes things happen that bend logic and stand reason on it's ear. It is easy to make judgements about another person or another lifestyle while sitting afar, but it must be noted that all of us deal with the challenges of life in a manner best suited for our personality, needs, and desires, as well as the realities and limitations placed upon us through no fault of our own. It is not for another to judge the validity of the choices people must make in order to achieve equalibrium and contentment in their lives, as long as those choices do not inflict pain and suffering on the other person involved. This is especially true if a person is unable to live his life as nature intended.
As a child lover, I know what it is like to love without sexual intimacy. I know that it is possible to love, respect, and enjoy the company of another person, even in the absence of sex. I also know that, although sex is desirable, it is not the only path to happiness. Of course, living without it is NOT the ideal, but then again, it is not an ideal world, is it?
I love M as one would love a sister or a very good friend. I treat her with respect and she reciprocates. I cannot share my most personal side of myself as it would only complicate and upset our lives. And possiblty, mutual respect and affection would turn into emotional turmoil for both of us.
Please do not judge the lives of others. It is a difficult and complicated world we live in. It is not as simple as, "If you can't have sex with her then you don't love her." Love has many sides and many forms of expression. Sexual intimacy, while important, is not the only manner in which it may be expressed.
Your Friend,
