The standpoint that I was trying to illuminate would be primarily one of physical safely. I'm not talking now too, I'm talking thousands and thousands of years ago. Any natural cause of physical injury, risk of sickness, or harm exist to potentiate such survival mechanisms.

Maybe you were mislead to think I qualified this in sexuality? I didn't mean it as such, but it may give an explanation, even though it isn't a rational one. I don't think it should apply to modern humans. of course, a rational exists. (Since it is irrational.) It may still explain how we go here.

The reason this happens still is because most people actually fail hard at being rational. Especially when it comes to protecting their 'little girls'. Why do they act in self-defeating, or daughter-defeating ways? I think you'd find over-protective parents are going to tend to be more close-minded, more disabled engaging in rational thought, less evolved, and less intelligent. I did suggest there are grounds for it in religion, and also reasons stem from society, which can tell itself lies back and forth all day.
