If it's true the girl was screaming, and if she didn't know the man ... well, I'm willing to consider that this was nonconsensual and I can't blame her father.

On the other hand, this could also be a setup. Get a few friends around who will witness that so-and-so was molesting a child, and one can get away with darned near anything.
