Look at the greater picture

So what? What does it matter if their mentality is not what we would want to see in ourselves. Our mission, thus, would be to convince them of the errors in their views.

If someone were to refer to me as an American, would it not be in my best interest to correct the error? (I am Canadian.)

Should someone refer to me as a child rapist, would it not be in my best interest to correct the error? (I love little girls; I could never rape one.)

These two researchers may, or may not, be truly interested in understanding us... in our entirety, without prejudice. Because they are human (and I believe they are), they can see (just as we can see) the word green and think verdurous emerald, environmentalist, unripe banana or even ashen-faced and seasick.

Let's assume they do think of us as monsters. They why would they want to investigate us?
