We never forgot its existence...

...and we still use it here regularly. But it doesn't serve the purpose for younger people who have a preference for significantly older adults, because the average adult also has that attraction base, which would lead to no end of confusion if we used it in both contexts. I felt we needed to distinguish a non-conventional preference from one that is very conventional in our society.
