Completely agreed, Gatekeeper.
And THIS is all what is wrong here, in a nutshell.
Unless a sizeable size and weight difference exists (such as an adult vs a child) or you use techniques that are very much unknown to the public, beating someone to death is very difficult and requires a continuous effort and an extraordinary level of violence. Study any case of beaten persons who survived, including, here, many rape victims that were beaten by their perpetrators expecting them to die and you'll realize just the level of violence and intentionality involved in killing with your bare fists.

As I said in another post, any other crime, and people, not just here, would be giving the Collateral Damage the benefit of the doubt and questioning the reaction; just as they are, as we speak, giving it to Trayvon Martin. Only child molestation creates such a public reaction of "the facts don't matter".

And this is even conceding that there was sex between the man and the girl. Even without a setup, I see people here granting all too cheaply that the father saw what he thinks he saw. I bet they also can tell an art fake from an original at first sight.
