Granted, others have had it just as bad, if not worse, throughout the history of humanity, but we still have it pretty bad. Especially considering the otherwise relatively progressive society we have going now. Racial relations have improved immensely. Homosexuality is legal and becoming increasingly socially acceptable. People think we've made so much progress, yet if they walked a mile in our shoes then they would see truly how little progress we've actually made, and exactly how much we've actually regressed.

Yet, even the vast majority of most "liberals" and so called "progressives" are in the dark ages when it comes to us. We're the last taboo, the one remaining scapegoat for all of society's social ills when it comes to sexuality. It hurts to be singled out like that. Even a lot of nons must know deep down in their hearts and heads how wrong and unfair it is. Hopefully, they will continue to become more and more aware of this, and adjust accordingly. You either believe in human rights or you don't. It has to include everybody, or it might as well include nobody.
