A famous Christian apologist proverb says "There are no Atheists in trenches."

I have often heard the same idiotic opinion in AA. You know, because the majority of AA members are mediocrities, just as the majority of people anywhere -- almost every passer-by is a mediocrity by definition and by default -- they are unable to think and keep repeating idiotic things like that.

I have prayed at least ten thousand times in my life and I am an atheist. I do not believe in God or any higher power. My prayers have just reinforced my atheism, because I have never gotten any answer from the so-called God.

You think that I have not been in life-threatening situations, like trenches? Twice I have been in a very dangerous situation, near death, and I prayed and I got rid of those situations. But no, I don't really believe that it was any god that rescued me. If you pray in a trench and do not get killed in the war and then spend the rest of your life, say, as an alcoholic, or maybe as a pedophile who has no sex, has some god perhaps saved you for the latter meaningful life? Heh, let me laugh.

People who have never prayed cannot be atheists.

Griffith
