A famous Christian apologist proverb says "There are no Atheists in trenches." It means that in circumstances where people's lives are in danger and they are powerless to stop the danger, of which war trenches is one, they turn to religion, even if they were not religious before.

I am sure that this is very true and I might be one of them - I hope not, not just yet at least. It seems there has been some evidence to this affect as well. Many, however, might be downright rude and stick two fingers up at any perceived creator who might have had a part in the creation of such a turbulent and conflicting human world and know within themselves that the end was truly the end for them. Fools, we know it is best to bank on a creator just in case. I do believe the last bit (the end is the end) and my only regret would be not having achieved more in life. I hope you will forgive me for anything I ever post concerning religion since I unfortunately do have little respect for all who have a religious belief and I'll admit it is a failing of mine but I view their belief systems simply as that no matter what they perceive as claims for respect. Understandably I never comment on Islam.
