This is only true because every instance where the relationship is discovered it is framed as abuse and the young person is badgered until they say it was abusive, too.

Not sure if there is any evidence to back up that claim.

A common theme in all these cases is that the adults in question were presumed not to be mature and not to be capable of making their own decisions - blacks and women for life, and gays at the time they were "converted" into their "depraved" lifestyle.

Well there is no presumption when it comes to children because unless science has got it all wrong they ARE essentially much less mature than adults, particularly below puberty.
