This survey seems to ask if pedophiles have severe to mild mental health issues. The questions could just as easily be directed to over achievers, under achievers, alcoholics, abuse victims, abusers, politicians, housewives, soccer moms/dads, etc, etc.
I am a fully functional human being, I attended college, served in military, participated in sports, participated in social/academic societies, enjoy the arts, listen to a specific genre of music, enjoy intelligent conversation, read on a variety of subjects, I'm fashion conscience (to a degree), am an employed taxpayer, enjoy certain types of foods, and so on and so forth. I am not a two dimensional subject with only one thing on my mind. Yes, this is an aspect of my life that I enjoy (but also take great pains to hide), but not the only aspect, and certainly not the major aspect.
Just like "normal", "age appropriate" heterosexuals, their orientation is not the only factor in their lives, nor mine. We may talk about it more and are frustrated by our situation more because our desires are unattainable.
It's like in an older, even more dysfunctional version of America of yesteryear where being attracted to people of different races was socially taboo and even considered a mental health issue.
I really think this survey seeks to perhaps "prove" that pedophiles are sick individuals.
I could take aspects of this survey to fiends and coworkers and find a number of people with mental health issues.
Frankly, I think this survey was biased towards the "pedo is sick" camp.
