...this is why those of us holding the pro-contact position who are inclined towards activism need to put much of our resources into educating society to reject all sexist stereotypes, including opposition to the attitude that tries to strongly encourage females of any age into feeling guilt and shame over expressing their sexuality. "Slut-shaming" is a major problem in our society - both males and females freely engage in it all too often, no matter what they may say about supporting "sexual equality" - and this is doubtless responsible for the potential damage that can be caused by sociogenic and iatrogenic harm (though this type of harm is more sociogenic, as it's not caused by the reaction of specifically professionals).

The pro-contact position generally does not accept the idea that iatrogenic and sociogenic harm are somehow inherently and immutably built into society in the same sense that DNA is built into the cellular structure of all life forms on this planet, and thus societal attitudes are somehow not to blame for these problems. They are societal constructs engaged in by choice due to mass ignorance and a specific set of social values. Thus, they can be eliminated or at least greatly ameliorated by social growth and change in value systems, which is a constant process in human history. They are a form of moralism (as opposed to morality) that can be opposed and changed over time as readily as former attitudes towards masturbation, homosexuality, and miscegenation.
