An Immodest GM

So there I am at work and an energetic LG and her mother come up to me at the cash registers. I'm guessing that she was 9 or so. (You'd think that as a pedo, I'd have a better sense of a girls age. But somewhere after babyfat and before puberty.) She's got short summer hair, a tank top, shorts and sandals. In fact, it wasn't until she started chatting away that I became certain she was an LG.

So after waxing enthusiastically about her purchase, she compliments me on my shirt. (Do we detect a theme here?)

I explain that the artist was one of the last masters of his genre of painting. And that usually he stuck to pictures of warriors, but occasionally he painted pretty ladies. (it was actually a painting of a courtesan, but who am I to explain the concept of a "kept" woman to a nine-year old?)

Upon hearing me utter "pretty ladies," she chirps, "like me?"

Dante pauses for a millisecond to figure out what to say.

I said, "Yes," with a bemused expression.

Her mother completed my thoughts by saying, "Pretty and modest."

Cute kid. I've always been more partial to Tomboys than to Girly Girls.
