Yes, in a manner of speaking, I too am a new arrival. I don't know how much you've read of my introduction and other posts, but I started posting about a week and a half ago. While I have not been contributing for long, I have been reading the posts here for quite some time. Its nice to meet you as well. ^_^

Im glad to hear that you live in a place that is relatively tolerant. The part of the US where I live is less suspicious than some, at least when it comes to an adult male spending time with children. However, I think they would be less tolerant of the concept of pedophile rights than most places. I attribute both of these qualities to my region being behind the times, both in pedo-hysteria and social equality. There are still a lot of people here that are outspokenly against homosexuality, my father included. He once said something along the lines of The reason Rome failed was due to the perversion of their society; too many fags and pedophiles running the streets. He never qualified exactly how they led to the empires demise, but I never cared to ask. This type of thinking leads me to believe that Ill never be able to come out to my parents. I would say that the current generation is remarkably more tolerant than the last, so there is hope there. As with the rest of the country, I will just have to see where the next couple decades takes my little slice of the US.
