We're an oppressed class of people.

Do we become less oppressed by being told we should shut up unless we've been here for decades, have had many lgs etc etc by some special snowflake considering ethics to be beneath him and whose actions clearly demonstrate this fact?

Genuine activists, such as Tom O'Carroll or Edward Chambers, may have their flaws and their activism has certainly brought them suffering, yet they have not pulled rank and or considered ethics beneath them. Why do you suppose this is, as they are also MAPs and as oppressed, if not more, as the rest of us?
