Logic won't work with this issue because it is rooted in religion.. Religion in itself is an entity that is deeply seeded with dogmas. Especially Christianity and the "sex is evil" bullshit.

I really don't think we can hope to make progress without getting rid of religion itself. Because with religion people believe in invisible superbeings watching them at all times and other horseshit nonsense so much, regardless of how illogical it is. For a lot of people religion trumps logic by far. That is how we wind up with cults and shit where people think they will go to Heaven by drinking toxic Kool-Aid.

So in the end, this issue will never be looked at logically. It would be like trying to convince them God is a figment of their imagination and Jesus was just an idealistic man who wanted to try to make peace in the world, just like many other people throughout history.

I know there will be Christians on this board that might take offense, and I am not saying that believing in God is necissarily a bad thing. It is just that there are many people out there that have been so totally brainwashed by religion that they cannot think for themselves. And this is one of those issues that is tied in to it all. Religion does teach people blind belief without proof or logic.
