Hello GirlChatters!

Mark April 25th on your calendar. On this date we will celebrate the 150th anniversary of the day Alice Liddell and Charles Dodgeson met, a significant event for Girl Lovers all over the world. We, at Girl Chat, would like to plan something special to commemorate this very special anniversary....and we would like your input and ideas to help it all come together.

Already, our friend Lindsay Ashford has initiated a charity drive to give Child Lovers (BLs and GLs) the opportunity to show their love for children by making a donation in memory of this very important first meeting. Many of you have already pledged or even sent in your money, and we thank you for that. Hopefully, even more of us, as well as some Boy Lovers, who love their kids just as much as we do, will do the same. Of course we also hope that you will consider making a donation to GC to further commemorate our very own holiday. Charity may begin at home but it doesn't have to end there.

To be sure, giving of ourselves, in a gesture of love and caring to children in need, validates our love for them all the more, especially when taken in conjuction with our kindnesses and personal relationships on a day to day basis. Giving to our own web site, which supports and gives voice to genuine Girl Lovers worldwide, is also a fine tribute to both Alice and the man who loved her and who made her famous. But, the Girl Chat Committee thinks there should be something more; something right here at GC, to proudly raise our voices on behalf of all the Girl Lovers of the world on this important anniversary.

Although we have some ideas, we would also like to tap the talented and creative minds of our GC posters. So go ahead Girl Chat, brainstorm with us! Tell us what you would like to see happen here on the Good Ship Annabelleigh, as we celebrate Girl Love's only true Holiday, Alice Day! Artists, Musicians, Authors, Poets, and anyone else who can contribute, we need you.
