"I believe much of the material for this book came from information given by members of this forum a few years ago"

Yes - at least some of the material was derived from surveys answered by members of this community.

"my perspective on children below puberty is basically that what many paedophiles appear to want is incongruous with the child's normal life and that such interactions tend to cause more problems in life than anything else."

Why do you think this is incongruous with a child's normal life? What is a normal childhood and why do you consider it normal? What is the real cause of problems derived from sexual contact: the sexual contact itself, or societal condemnation of the same?

There is an abundance of evidence that children have sexual lives, that they learn early on to keep secret - at least from adults. Why do you presume that children would never be interested in pursuing their sexuality with adults if it were not for such societal condemnation?

"The fact that children can and often do enjoy the physical sensations of their sexual experiences is no justification at all since there are many other things to consider."

Yes, besides concerns for physical safety the biggest concern is the effect of societal condemnation of juvenile sexuality. We take this seriously at this forum, which is why we advise our readers to avoid sexual contact with children in order to minimize the risk of harm from societal attitudes towards juvenile sexuality.
