I don't like to take part in these types of debates. But I don't want to make it seem like I'm avoiding taking part in discussion here, and I see this issue has been taking up the board lately.

To be honest, I haven't read most of this, or the replies. But I thought I'd give my two cents, and maybe I'll add more if I'm feeling better at another point.

1) Nobody is going to convince anybody here.

As far as convincing someone, the only value of this discussion is adding insight to outsiders who may be reading, or to strengthen the faith of those poised on either side of this battle. We might convince some Anon who may be reading, but those participating in this debate will not change their mind because of this debate.

Maybe Lee Lette just wants to justify ageist and misandric views. And maybe we just want to have sex with children. The intentions here don't really matter. What matters is who is on the side of freedom, and who is on the side of controlling people and driving the world closer to a police state? I get the feeling Lee Lette does not agree with many of the methods Antis and LEOs use, but in that case his view makes no sense. The current cruel tactics used by the Antis are used specifically because that's the only choice they have if they want to prevent certain groups of human beings from having sex. In the past when this witch hunt wasn't as bad, it was much easier for pedos to have sex with children. The bigot AOC was enforced more and more to bring us where we are today, and make it harder than ever for pedos (and sexual children) to have any quality of life whatsoever. Unfortunately for Lee Lette, he has to choose one extreme or the other. If the Antis are going to win this war, they'll have to bring us to "1984" (police state movie reference). They're going to have to trample on the freedoms of people like we've never seen before. Do you think terrorism is a problem? Child/adult sex is a much more frequent phenomenon than terrorism, so if you think freedoms were lost after 9/11, it could get much worse in the name of "The War on pedophilia".

Either we allow pedophilia, or we don't. If we go back to how things were in the 70's, or before, the majority of the world will not give a shit about enforcing the Age of consent. You can believe it should be law all you want, but it means nothing unless it's going to be enforced like what we see today, or worse. Pedophilia is so common, as is a child's sexuality, that people aren't going to give a damn. Laws only matter as much as they are enforced. Even today, where we've seen democracy and freedom fail like it never has before, most non-Western countries and even some European ones don't care about the AOC. They may have an AOC just because the UN forces them to (they'll create propaganda against any country that doesn't) but if you talk to the people, promoting anti-pedophilia and enforcing the AOC just isn't a big deal to them. They might not like it if they know an adult around them is fucking a child, but they just don't care about persecuting people as much as we, as a society, do. Amerikkka is one of the most busy-body nations in the world and they raise their people to be as well. Amerikka pokes its nose into the business of other countries, and its people poke their noses into the business of their neighbors. Unfortunately for Antis, not everyone in the world cares so much about being rude to others or having jurisdiction on what other people do.

Yes, unfortunately for the Antis, the witch hunt is really more of a Western epidemic which doesn't hold much value in non-Western countries. That's all it is. Anti-pedophilia is a not a universal moral or common knowledge. Isn't it interesting that the "free world" puts so much attention into creating laws and going to great lengths to control what people can and cannot do?

I feel like I'm rambling now, but in short, you can't have your cake and eat it too. If you want a world where pedophiles and children cannot have sex, you cannot expect to succeed unless you go full force against "the perverts". As everyone knows, the efforts of Antis even today are futile at stopping child/adult sex. They may succeed in many cases, but they also fail greatly... their dream world, or anything close to it, is far away. Children continue to have sex every day. The dream police state is far from a reality. Amerikkka may have succeeded in this respect more than any other, but even they are realizing how impossible it is to control human nature. The "Lee Lettes" of this world are dreaming if they think simply having an Age of Consent is good enough for their cause.

2) *SIGH*

As a child I was very sexual, and I've talked to others who were like that when they were children. I've even talked to very young people who had already discovered their own attraction to children. I was like that too. So many young people are pedophiles themselves... is it really justice to oppress them in the name of "protecting the greater"? Is that how lame reality is, and how pathetic we our as a species, that certain groups have to be oppressed, and freedoms stomped upon, in the name of protecting a "majority". If so, I think such an admission opens up a great number of paradoxes, and such an argument even could be used for a lot of political incorrectness, bigotry, racism, sexism, etc.

Personally... I would rather have been taken out to a pit and shot to death as a child than having to go through what I've gone through, all in the name of this witch hunt. I did have lots of fun as a child as well, but once I was 13, it was all over, and clearly it would have been more humane just to kill me. I did have sexual desires much before that, though.

I don't know what's going to be done about sexually repressed children, or if Antis are ever going to give a fuck about even acknowledging them. Freedom, expression, individuality... I suppose these were all went to suffer in them name of fear, and protecting others based on those fears. Humanity is meant to be stereotyped into one category, where everyone is to be looked at as "the same", and we all must follow the same narrow path, which if we deviate from, we're rejected. Those who are "different" or "extremely unique" are made to suffer.

Baldur made an awesome post a month or so ago where he explained in great detail the reasons governments enforce anti-pedophilia and age of consent laws. It would be great if someone could dig that up. The real reasons for these laws actually having nothing to do with protection, even though Antis like to believe so because of their own fears and insecurities. The real reasons for this witch hunt have to do with gathering the masses for them to willingly give up their freedom based on the concept that it's what's best for them, and their security. But Baldur said it better than me.

If the world is not going to progress away from this nonsense, we're only going to see more bizarreness like this:

C'mon...

The question shouldn't be where to draw the line here. The question should be can there be a line at all?

Indeed, the world today is all about fear. And some people follow the fears of the majority, out of fear of being rejected by them. Human psychology is a fragile, but complicated thing.
